May 25, 2024, St. Gallen (Switzerland) — Viktoriya Zakrevskaya, Boldozer Consulting Founder, received prestigious Impact Award during the Dies Academicus event at the University of St.Gallen (Switzerland) on 25th of May 2024 . The award recognized significant contribution to ensuring artificial intelligence compliance with the EU Artificial Intelligence Act. Through her role as Executive Manager Ms Zakrevskaya supported Dr. Thomas Burri in bringing his idea to a product phase that resulted in a two-day competition named “The First University of St. Gallen Grand Challenge: The EU A.I. Act”. The event took place in Switzerland in July 2023.

The project gained its acclaim from major partners including Mercedes-Benz Group AG, and was celebrated for its unique and successful approach. The Swiss Drones and Robotics Centre, part of the Swiss Department of Defense, Population, and Sport, collaborated with the project's team, organizing a Boot camp that prepared teams for their interaction with technology at the Finals.

The University of St.Gallen Impact Awards annually honors researchers who make valuable contributions to society. This year, the "EU A.I. Act and the Grand Challenge," led by Prof. Dr. Thomas Burri, was one of the three premium recipients of the award.

Dies Academicus, a highlight on the University of St.Gallen calendar, brings together members, alumni, and influential business and political personalities to celebrate academic excellence and societal contributions.
