Case: Strategic Media Landscape Analysis for an Asia-Pacific Government

Delivered in partnership with a global communications agency

In 2023, an executive agency from the Asia-Pacific region commissioned a rapid-response briefing on the evolving digital landscape in the Russian Federation. The objective was to better understand the accessibility, influence, and regulatory environment of domestic and foreign social media platforms, in the context of ongoing disinformation concerns.

Delivered in close partnership with a global communications agency, the analysis mapped out the top social platforms used in Russia, the types of content most widely circulated, and key constraints on access, expression, and international visibility. It also assessed platform usage trends, content moderation policies, and the feasibility of engagement from outside the country, including from foreign-based institutions and audiences.

The final report served as a strategic input into broader policy and communications planning.
